Move It Storage Expands Presence in Florida Panhandle with Navarre Facility
Dallas-Based Company Opens New Multistory Climate-Controlled Facility
DALLAS, May 7, 2020 – Move It Storage a leading company in the self-storage industry, today released details on a recent acquisition of the management and operation of a new facility in Navarre, Florida. The acquisition, which will operate as “Move It Storage-Navarre West,” expands Move It footprint in the Northwest Florida Panhandle to 8 properties.
“We are excited to open the new Navarre West location under the Move It brand,” said Tim Springer, president of Move It Storage. “Move It has operated next door with its original Navarre location since 2017 and appreciates the ongoing community support. Our customers have been asking for premium, covered boat and RV parking with electricity, and we’re excited to meet that need.”
Move It Storage - Navarre West features a three-story building with approximately 79,000 net rentable square feet and 641 climate-controlled units. The property also offers 102 premium, covered boat and RV parking spaces with electrical hook-ups, as well as two access security gates. The covered spaces include extra-wide driveways for maneuvering boats, trailers, and RVs.
Navarre-based J2 Development LLC developed the project, while Oden Hardy Construction acted as the general contractor. First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) , Fort Walton, provided the construction and permanent financing. The property will operate six days a week to serve customers, with an onsite manager during office hours.

Move It Storage - Navarre West is also participating in the Self Storage Association’s “SSA CARES” program, which provides storage aid for communities. To support first responders, health care groups, and volunteer organizations involved in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, Move It will be donating 100 high-quality, climate-controlled units rent-free for up to 90 days.
